The mission of The University of Arizona Health Sciences is to improve the health of Arizona through education, research, and patient care. Creating a supportive environment that moves beyond tolerance to respectful understanding is essential in advancing our mission. This talk will review effective steps and strategies for building a welcoming and supportive LGBTQ environment.

Dr. Scott Reikofski currently serves as the Director of Student Affairs at the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix, and has been a Higher Education and Student Affairs administrator for 33 years at a number of campuses around the nation.  In addition to his dedication to COM-P, Scott does consulting at campuses and for organizations across the nation, including international fraternities and sororities, where he is a developmental program designer and keynote speaker on topics ranging from Organization/Culture Change to Value-based Leadership to Leading Diverse Populations.  Scott has designed a number of experiential programs on issues of diversity and values based leadership that have been distributed to over 200 campuses.  Scott’s research has focused on organizational management and change, and effective communication across institutional silos.
