"The school to prison pipeline: Practices within the school system placing a high numbers of African-American youth into the prison system." Our goal for this session is to inform the public about obstacles African-American youth face in school systems, and how certain school administration decisions place these youth at higher risks of being incarcerated, thereby significantly reducing educational and career opportunities, and negatively impacting mental and physical health.
