Diversity Seminar Series Launches with Talk on Improving Health Care for LGBT Patients

Join us to learn about LGBT health care concerns and experiences and gain insight on improving their care.

Improving health care for LGBT patients will be the inaugural topic of the University of Arizona College of Medicine and its Office of Diversity & Inclusion Diversity Seminar Series taking place on Monday, October 21 at 4 p.m., in DuVal Auditorium

 


Mock MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test)

The Offices of Diversity & Inclusion and Admissions are pleased to offer students preparing to take the MCAT a chance to practice taking this exam. The Mock MCAT is a simulation of the actual MCAT using a practice exam provided by the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC).


MED 493A: Pre-health Integrated Course Underway

The MED 493A: Pre-health Integrated Experiential Learning course is underway for the Fall 2013 course with 15 pre-health students enrolled. This hands-on course meets once per week in the College of Medicine and includes clinical rotations throughout Tucson.

 


First MedPath Meet-up Event

On September 18, 2013 at the Chicano Hispano Student Affairs, 6 pre-med students and 5 med students participated in the first MedPath Meet-up of the academic year. The MedPath program is for pre-health and pre-medical students to network with medical students in a relaxing, informal lunch setting.
