Canopy Medical Spanish Training

Canopy Medical Spanish is a web based e-learning platform designed to improve the medical Spanish proficiency of health care students and professionals starting with a beginner, intermediate, or advanced ability to communicate with patients in Spanish. The 40 hour online training program is available free of charge to health professions students in the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center – Tucson Campus.

Bilingual Medical Spanish Distinction Track

Medical students accepted in the Bilingual Medical Spanish Distinction Track (BMS) offered by the College of Medicine (COM) – Tucson will receive access to Canopy Medical Spanish directly from the BMS Program Coordinator.

Other Medical Students

All medical students will receive an invitation to enroll in Canopy Medical Spanish in the beginning of the Fall semester. Students interested must complete a short online survey, and will receive access to the program within a week.

Health Professions Students in the Arizona Health Sciences Center – Tucson Campus

Students admitted and matriculated in a health profession training program offered by one of the colleges of the Arizona Health Sciences Center – Tucson Campus will receive an invitation to enroll in Canopy Medical Spanish on the beginning of the Fall semester. Students interested must complete a short online survey, and will receive access to the program within a week.
