One National Cancer Institute-funded post-doctoral research position is available at the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson, AZ. The Program offers a multi-disciplinary mentored environment integrating behavioral to biological science research focused on cancer disparities and understanding and preventing cancer. The traineeship provides preparation for an individual who wishes to pursue an independent academic research career in cancer health disparities that contributes to decreases in cancer morbidity and mortality in underserved populations. The trainee will work with established investigators and will be expected to engage in a research project; develop research proposals; produce two to three publications per year; and work with a multidisciplinary team.
-This traineeship is up to two years, renewable each year contingent upon satisfactory performance. Individuals with a doctoral degree in public health, medicine, epidemiology, basic science, community psychology, sociology, or related health science degrees are encouraged to apply. Underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply. Search remains open until the position is filled. A stipend and health benefits are included.
